ORGANISED RHYME - This was the first solo offering from Tom and it's a collection of what are probably some of his personal favorites. He's been singing these songs for many years and it's obvious to the listener when you hear the delight, the ease, and the passion with which he performs them.
To the first time listener to this album, not every song is instantly recognisable, but you will certainly have that nagging feeling in your mind, that racking of the brains trying to remember where you heard them before. They are indeed a well known bunch of tunes, fine compositions that will continue to grow in popularity and stature as the years go by, but not the ones that would immediately spring to mind if asked to name a bunch of Irish songs.
And yes, to answer your question the photo on the front cover is indeed himself, taken on his first birthday December 1968!
